MERIS RETENTION
MERIS Retention provides direct communications with patients during their participation in a clinical trial. This maximizes the quality of trial data, improves compliance and retention, and reduces drop-out rates.
Dropout rate reduction
To reduce dropout rates, MERIS Retention provides consistent communication with participants beginning at screening and through study completion. Participants receive pre-visit checklists, details about upcoming visits, and satisfaction surveys. The communication consists of an organized series of messages that are customized for each study, which are delivered to enrolled participants through a text message, email, or both, depending on their preference. The participant’s level of engagement with the content delivered to them and any change in satisfaction of participating in the study is tracked and documented.
The Retention Solution improves the experience of study coordinators by reducing outbound communications to trial participants and providing escalation about participants who may be at risk of dropout. It is integrated with MERIS Analytics to assure complete visibility into potential barriers to participant retention.
What is MERIS Retention?
MERIS Retention, embedded in MERIS Analytics, is a participant communication engagement solution, consisting of an organized series of messages that are customized for each study, delivered to enrolled patients through a text message or email, or both, depending on their preference.
Through MERIS Analytics, the Retention Solution provides Sponsors with dashboards and reporting on patient retention.
Why Use MERIS Retention?
Provides Sponsors and sites with confidence that patients will be engaged in a timely manner throughout their clinical trial journey to help prevent dropouts
Provides Sponsors and CRAs regular reports with escalation on potential dropout risks
Allows Sponsors and study sites to directly address retention challenges
Lessens the burden on study sites, at a time they desperately need support due to a staffing shortage, by communicating important study visit information with patients pre-visit on their behalf
Provides enrolled study participants with pertinent just-in-time information that will help motivate them and prepare them for their upcoming visit
If too many participants drop out of a clinical trial, data quality suffers, making it more difficult for Sponsors to prove the efficacy of a specific compound.
MERIS Retention engages with and motivates study participants throughout their clinical trial experience to remain committed through study completion.
